A trend you maybe haven't seen coming this year is the houndstooth. For those who are not familiar with this popular style, It just means a two-tone pattern usually known for its broken squares. The classic ones are mostly in black and white but, for Springtime you may want to wear other shades. One of my outfits throughout my trip to Lisbon was the camel houndstooth skirt and blazer. To make this outfit more exciting, I took black houndstooth tights as well. Remarkably the broken patterns of my blazer and skirt are smaller while the prints of my tights are larger. If you want a more classic style, pick smaller patterns. The larger rectangle prints give you a modern and fashionable vibe. 
For this outfit, I opted for two different footwear.

 A pencil skirt  
A black pencil skirt is one of those pieces you can't just miss in your closet. Think about how practical it can be. You can wear those at work, parties and on holidays. Sometimes you don't even need more than a high slit to make it work. And think about the details like a crocodile-patterned faux leather. That makes the outfit vivid and less boring.

Een kokerrok
Een zwarte kokerrok is een item die je best in je garderobe hebt. Het is vooral praktisch, omdat je het bijna altijd overal kan dragen. Vind je zulke kledingstukken, maar saai? Kijk dan meer naar de details. Wie weet ga je liever voor een rok met een split.

White ruffle sleeve top 
White always works. You can't go wrong with it. It's just like black. You know it's going to fit everywhere.

Witte blouse
Een kledingkast met hier en daar witte tinten kan best handig zijn. Je kan het overal dragen en bovendien past deze monochrome tint bij alles.

Printed tights
Because Spring is just that season in between, it can be practical to wear tights, especially in the morning when it's a little freezing. To keep my outfit fashionable, I often tend to go for tights with interesting prints on it. 

Panty met print
Opvallende panty's met leuke prints zijn zeker in. Je kan ze op verschillende manieren dragen. Ga bijvoorbeeld voor de ton-sur-ton kleurencombinatie. Je maakt een mix van dezelfde kleuren maar wisselt af met een zachte of donkere nuance. 

The buckle belt
Often forgotten but this piece can add value to your outfit. When in Lisbon, I even had two of them. One for my hips and a buckle belt mostly used to define your waist. The buckle belt can be used over a dress, skirt or, a jumpsuit. 

De korsetriem
Ik moet wel toegeven dat de korsetriem mijn favoriete item is. Deze statement stuk heeft alles om je taille mooi te accentueren en je outfit een glamour touch te geven.

The perspex pointed ankle boots
I guess you are ready to slay this season with the perspex ankle boots. These fashionable black pointed boots are becoming a classic wardrobe piece.

Stijlvolle enkellaarzen
Een reden om je sneakers in te ruilen met stijlvolle laarzen, is de de perspex enkellaars. In 2020 kan je bijna zeggen dat het onmisbaar is geworden. De stijlvolle hak zorgt er in ieder geval voor dat je helemaal fashionproof bent.

A great pair of jeans
Something that will take you through all seasons is a great pair of jeans. Pick one that makes you feel comfortable. My favorites are the skinny legs and the mom jeans. I can't go without it. 

Een goede jeansbroek
Een goede jeansbroek is altijd een goede investering. Die draag je zowel tijdens de koude seizoenen als de frisse lentedagen. Zeker een must have.

Animal prints
Fashion is all about going wild sometimes. So why not incorporate a few fancy animal prints into your closet. 

Dierenprint
Met mode neem je zonder twijfel risico's. Dat doe je dan ook best door dierenprints toe te voegen in je kledingkast. Het geeft alleszins de punch die je outfit nodig heeft.
