Hard to believe, but it's September. For most of you, it's a month that comes with a lot of changes in your career, school or even relationships. Reason enough to find the perfect jeans to wear this season. Let me introduce you to the Mom jean. Relax! You don't need to be a mom to wear it, but I'm sure you want to know how exactly you can style it. Let me give you a couple of reasons why I think those early 1990s pants are going to last for a while in your closet.
  1. Mom jeans are known for their high-waist. I absolutely love it because it's for all shapes and it's really flattering for every single woman.
  2. The essence of that high waist is also to show it. When you wear a shirt, crop top, bodysuit, blouse or roll neck jumper you are most likely to tuck it.
  3. You have the choice to show your waist off with a belt or without it. You can wear a belt to add some color if your Mom jean is neutral or achromatic. If you have a Mom jean like mine with prints you don't need a belt, but you can use one if you want of course.
  4. Make sure the Mom jean comes above your ankle. It gives you space to wear any kind of footwear. You can go for heels or sneakers.
  5. Last but not least. A Mom jean is made to feel relaxed. It has to feel like you can do anything with it. In no way, you should feel too tighten in your own clothes. You want them to feel comfortable enough to breathe.

Now that you have those simple and easy tricks for your mom jean, I think you are ready like me to start September on a positive note.
